Costa Rica in Class

A great trip for beach lovers. This trip combines two great beach areas of Costa Rica with excellent accommodations and plenty of free time to decide on the spot what you want to do.

Day 1: San José, Costa Rica  – arrival
Our representative will meet you at the airport and will transfer you to the hotel, located in Alajuela. During the transfer, take advantage of your bilingual driver and ask him any questions you may have regarding your arrangements.  This Northwest central valley town is sometimes referred to as the second most important Costa Rica''s city. Home of the country''s national Hero, Juan Santamaria, Alajuela has a busy downtown area and warm climate.  Overnight at Xandari hotel.

Day 2: Alajuela – Punta Islita
After breakfast, we will take you by private ground transfer to the local airport, where you will connect with a local flight to Islita.  Once at Islita airstrip, we will take you to the hotel by shared ground transfer.  Punta Islita is a place surrounded by tiny villages and towns that offer a picturesque glimpse of Costa Rican rural life and traditions. Free afternoon to relax or to explore the area on your own.  Overnight at Punta Islita hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 3: Punta Islita
After breakfast, you can relax at the beach, at the hotel or if you prefer, you can take optional activities:  canopy tour, horseback riding or ATV adventures.  Overnight at Punta Islita hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 4 : Punta Islita – Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, we will take you to Islita airstrip by shared ground transfer to connect with a local flight to San Jose, where you will take a second local flight to Quepos.  Once at Quepos airstrip, we will take you to your hotel by ground transfer. Manuel Antonio is famous and well known due to its beaches, the national park, cliffs, rivers, rain forests, and the variety of activities.  Overnight at Issimo Suites hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 5: Manuel Antonio
Early in the morning, a local bilingual guide will take you to Rainmaker, one of the last remnants of primary rain forest in the central pacific.  This tour will give you the opportunity to combine nature and adventure, and it consists of a suspension bridge system, with six sections for a total of 250 meters, spanning from platforms attached to massive hardwood trees to see the forest from a different perspective. 

The river walk starts along the Seco river edge, hand rails and easy to follow footpaths along with observation platforms allow you to observe waterfalls and capture, with photographs the rich biodiversity in the area.  Free afternoon to relax or to take optional activities: canopy tour, Manuel Antonio National Park hike, horseback riding or ATV adventures.  Overnight at Issimo Suites hotel.  Breakfast, lunch.

Day 6: Manuel Antonio
After breakfast, a local bilingual guide will meet you at the hotel to take you on the Dolphin tour.  Glide through crystal clear waters and see islands that lie just off shore, jagged rock formations and towering cliffs host varieties of nesting marine birds.  You can try to watch spotted dolphins native to these coastal and if you are lucky you could observe migrating humpback whales.
Free afternoon to explore the area or to take an optional tour:  canopy tour, Manuel Antonio National Park hike, horseback riding or ATV adventures.  Overnight at Issimo Suites hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 7: Manuel Antonio - San José
After breakfast, take advantage of your free morning to keep exploring the surroundings or take an optional tour if you prefer. In the afternoon, we will meet you at the hotel to take you to Alajuela by shared ground transfer. Overnight at Xandari hotel.  Breakfast.

Day 8: Alajuela, Costa Rica - departure
Today we will meet you at the hotel to take you to Juan Santamaría international Airport by private ground transfer, in time to meet your flight back home.
