Arenal and Manuel Antonio Self-drive

Visit two of Costa Rica´s jewels, Arenal, one of the world´s most active volcanoes, with Manuel Antonio and its beautiful national park, beaches, and many activities. We reserve your hotels and a rental car with Adobe, one of the best agencies in the country.

Day 1: Arrive in San Jose
You are met on exit from San José Airport and transferred to Adobe offices. Pick your 4x4 car up and drive to the Country Inn & Suies, located 20minutes East from the Juan Santa Maria International airport. (Breakfast)

Day 2: Arenal
Drive to Arenal volcano area (about 3 1/2 hours driving), and lodge at the Arenal Volcano Inn. (Breakfast)

Day 3: Arenal Full day to explore the Arenal volcano area.We suggest hike to volcano, horseback to fortuna waterfall or canopy tour. Overnight at the Arenal Volcano Inn (Breakfast).

Day 4: Manuel Antonio
Drive to Manuel Antonio (about 5 hours driving), leisurely stopping along the way, to view the small fishing towns of Puntarenas & Jaco, sugar cane plantations. Upon arrival to Manuel Antonio, overnight at the Casitas Eclipse (Breakfast)

Days 5 - 6: Manuel Antonio National Park
Full days to explore Manuel Antonio beaches, national park (closed mondays) seakayaking, rafting and more. Overnight at Casitas Eclipse.

Day 7: Dominical Drive back to San José the way you came, or via Dominical and the central mountains. Upon arrival in San José, return your rented car at the Country Inn & Suites later that afternoon.

Day 8: Fly out from San Jose
Private transfer from your hotel to the International Airport in time to meet your flight back home.
